Columbia University professors Maria Uriarte and Tian Zheng have been awarded a Microsoft AI Grant to study the effects of hurricane Maria on forests in Puerto Rico. They will use the company`s cloud computing platform (Azure) and AI tools to understand how different species are affected by hurricanes in the tropics.
